How Rootd handles personal data in the course of providing its battery-intelligence platform. Rootd processes battery telemetry on behalf of operators; this notice covers personal data relating to website visitors and platform users.

1. Scope

This notice applies to personal data Rootd collects as a controller — primarily from people who visit this site or use the platform on behalf of an operator, financier, or partner. Battery telemetry processed for a tenant is governed by the Data processing terms, where Rootd acts as a processor.

2. What we collect

Contact details you submit (name, work email, company, role), product usage and audit metadata, and standard technical data such as device and log information. Rootd does not seek to identify individual riders from battery telemetry.

3. How we use it

To provide and secure the platform, respond to enquiries, maintain audit trails, and meet legal obligations. We rely on legitimate interests and, where required, consent. We do not sell personal data.

4. Sharing

With sub-processors that help operate the service under contract, and where required by law. Tenant data is never shared across tenants; isolation is described in Tenant isolation.

5. Retention

We retain personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above and applicable retention obligations, then delete or anonymize it. specify retention periods with counsel
